Google + Invite.....

Since Google announced the Google +,  I am thirlled with it. But the problem is that i don't have a invite for joining Google +. I was trying various ways to get it to Google plus. I found none of the methods work. First i tried using my iPod touch to access the login page..... Failure. Lots of search in google for google + invite, then came the idea for linking the profile for google +. This was also detected by google and blocked. Next idea was asking all friends whether they are using google +... at last i found a friends friend using google +.  He also sent a invite for the friend. Then came the googly.... Google stopped accepting invitations. In between i had tried using google + application in chrome. Finally nothing has worked. In the mean while i have found something interesting. Facebook has got a lot of ways to keep the users with themselves. Facebook behaves like the Sun Tv in cable industry. Not good. Thangavel.

How to buy books online

I have been buying books online from Flipkart.com for a while now. I remember calling the customer care for the first time and asking whether they sell original copyrighted books or those are illegal prints. Laughed the executive and explained me that they have agreements with the publishers to sell books online. I found the books which i could't find anywhere (even in Landmark, Cross etc)... Esp the books for CIMA, CISA etc.... Now they have also started selling Music, Movies, Games, Mobiles, Cameras, Computers and Mp3 Players/iPods. Just try searching and buying from Flipkart.com.....

Pranab Mukherjee

Hi , This is urgent! I have just shown my support for India's forests. I have asked Pranab Mukherjee to hold a public consultation before deciding on the fate of our forests. Please read the mail below and take action. http://www.greenpeace.org/india/en/What-We-Do/Stop-Climate-Change/Quit-Coal/public-consultation-on-forests/ Regards, Dear , The coal versus forest tussle has intensified. A decision will be taken soon by the Group of Ministers (GoM) headed by Pranab Mukherjee. Their first meeting is on Thursday , the 17th. [1] Last year environment and forest minister Jairam Ramesh marked certain dense forests as No Go zones for coal mining. [2] The coal ministry however wants access to all these areas. [3] The GoM is now going to decide if we should destroy these forests and the biodiversity they hold to mine more polluting coal. [4] These forests are crucial to the livelihood of millions and home to wildlife like tigers and elephants.[5] Forests are a nationa

XBRL the impact on your finance function

It's time for larger and smaller businesses to consider the short term challenges and longer term benefits that extensible business reporting language could bring. By Audrey Besson Levine. The UK is following the US lead in planning to make coding language XBRL obligatory for corporate filings by 2011. Many still question and debate the usefulness of the tool and the required learning curve might scare some. But finance functions in both larger and smaller companies should now be investigating the long term benefits of the tool for them. Conceived in April 1998 by Charles Hoffman, XBRL, the Extensible Business Reporting Language, has been subsequently launched in several parts of the world and has even become mandatory for public company statutory fillings in countries such as the US and Japan. From bookkeeper to business partner Beyond regulatory compliance, the use of XBRL could prove to have a significant impact on the future of the finance function. It can enhance critical
